Recently, two of India’s top national security experts have had this to say of the manner Kashmir is being handled by the Modi regime. In an interview, a former intelligence hand, AS Dulat, said that he believes National Security Advisor (NSA), Ajit Doval, ought to be in charge of India’s Kashmir policy. Apparently, ‘Doval understands Kashmir and knows the solution and the way forward.’
Why is an ambush raking up issues of the big picture a to who should handle the Kashmir issue? It is simply military failure, that too at unit and brigade level.
Why is no one suggesting court martial of a few officers who allowed a vehicle to move alone, breaking an order, resulting in 5 deaths.
When Air Force found that own helicopter was shot up due to clear error at some level (ATC, I think), they just got the errant officer suspended.? Didn’t raise questions as to who should control IAF.
Army never gets down to brass-tacks level but obfuscates.

Looks good. Ajit Doval is a Cabinet Minister without the Tag of Hon'ble Minister.
